WORK EXPERIENCE & TRAINING

Otto Oliver

Police Officer 15 years (specialized training in weapons, ammunition, tactical maneuvers, tongfa (baton) & close protection (VIP) – also fully trained as a detective – Was operative in specialized units, i.e. Toxic & stock theft unit) Also received Bronze Policeman of the year award

Waldo Olivier

Security & Response Officer for 7 years, working for Blue Bay Security and Smhart Alarms. Whilst working for Smhart Alarms as a response officer, I was also the manager of their security guards.

SELECTION OF STAFF

We recognize that each client has specific needs, which are assessed and addressed individually; solutions are planned and tailored to the most rigorous demands. Our protection team has the experience and knowledge to ensure that you feel safe and relaxed in all situations. Our security guards have the necessary scholastic qualifications and can communicate in English, as required by PSIRA, the security regulatory authority. Prior to employment, all security recruits are screened and their criminal records checked. No person with a criminal record can be employed in the security industry as per PSRIA, thus why their fingerprints are taken & checked by the SAPD prior to being registered with PSIRA.

This upgraded version can also be used to phone (like a cell phone) the guard directly. The device can also phone four programmed numbers which is programmed to phone the managers. The device has an emergency button that is activated with the national control room.

MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISION

We are committed to providing value added security through a proactive relationship with you which will be achieved by personalized and responsive assistance, integrity and responsibility. The security guards will be visited regularly on site and assistance given when required by management.

UNIFORMS

Our security guards will be dressed in a noticeable color, i.e. Orange shirt by day and a reflective color at night. We believe the security guards visibility is the best way to deter criminal activity.

EQUIPMENT

Our security guards will be fully equipped with batons, torches, cell phones or two way radios (for constant communication between security guard and management on duty), protective clothing and stationary. Any additional equipment or dress code required bycan be incorporated in the security package fee.
